Here are a few more tips to assist you in life.
“Plan out your day”
This sounds a lot harder than it really is. Basically, when you’re getting ready in the morning, say while you are brushing your teeth or taking a shower, go through your day mentally. You have class till 11:00am, a meeting at 2:00pm, 3:30pm work on homework etc. Going through your day mentally will better prepare you to handle said day. You will have a rough expectation of how your day is going to go, which will allow you to prepare accordingly. Give it a try.
“Actually talk to someone”
Too many young people these days “communicate” by staring and typing on the their smartphones. They refer to this activity as “talking”. But is it not. By talking I specifically mean by using your voice (no, using speech dictation to write a text message doesn’t count). Call or Skype somebody, or even better go out and meet up with somebody. Don’t stick to just text messaging, or Facebooking, or Tweeting. Talking is the ultimate form of communication; it has started and ended wars.
“Get some Sleep”
We live in a society where sleep is becoming an optional activity to some. Why sleep when money is to be made, or parties are to be attended, or homework is to be done. Well, because sleep not only helps you do more of those things, as well as keep you alive and healthy. Sleep deprivation has been linked to countless health problems, like heart disease and weight gain. It also affects your attentiveness and ability to compute problems, something that is needed to do work. You should get around 7-8 hours of sleep on average, however I suggest to, on occasion, get around 10 hours of sleep or more. This way, your body will regain some lost sleep as well as have a longer time span to recuperate.
