Even though AST-V was pretty much entirely leaked over the past few months; Cadillac was will able to wow us. This mean little machine is prepped for war, with the BMW M3/4 locked in it’s sights. Could this be the start of a new performance car war? Maybe. Let’s check out the car.
The ATS-V is a sports version of the ATS. It comes in a sedan or coupe, with rear-wheel drive, and a 455hp and 445lb/ft Twin-Turbo V6. The ATS-V will do 0-60 in 3.9s; have a top speed of 185mph, and an optional 6-speed stick with active rev matching (oh baby). The chassis is 25% stiffer than plebian ATS, thanks to a healthy dose of carbon fiber and the V-Brace, there are Recaro buckets in the front, and Brembo 6-piston breaks. And as always there are a bunch of optional packages you can choose from, like the Track Package that deletes the floor mats and a few other things to shave 30lbs.
Official pricing has yet to be announced, however expect it to be around the $60,000 mark when it goes up for sale next spring.
