At Geneva, Bentley unveiled their EXP 10 Speed 6 concept, and all I can say is wow! The EXP 10 is a looker, and I don’t mean in a bad way. Let me make a comparison, it is the Lucy Pinder of Geneva 2015. It’s drop-dead gorgeous, British, and we all want to have a go with it!
It should be noted again that this is a concept, which means that EXP 10 will most likely not make production in this form factor. That being said, Bentley has proudly proclaimed that the EXP 10 represents all that is good about Bentley, as well as a look into the brands future.
The overall shape is similar to the aged Continental, which is a good thing as, let’s be honest, the Continental is a damn good-looking car. The EXP 10 turns things up a notch with oversized halo lights, a large flat grill, and hips (that don’t lie). The hood gets a few flares, the skirts are curvier, and the rear oh rear is sumptuously simple and yet eye grabbing. Put these all together and you have one of the best-looking cars to date in my opinion.
The interior also gets jazzed up a bit, with new materials and patterns. The steering wheel is more Audi like, with improved functionality. The center console houses a new gear selector as well as a Porsche 918 style touch screen system. Everything is covered in leather or wood, and the doors open like an Aston Martin (at an angle). Other notable facts of the EXP 10 include the use of 3D-printing technology during manufacturing, as well as the extensive use of copper in the interior.
The EXP 10 will most likely not make production, however expect elements to be incorporated into the next generation Continental as well as future Bentley models.
