I nearly went into cardiac arrest when I heard this news. Audi is reported to bring back the RS4 to the US in 2016. The new RS4 will be offered in only a saloon variant, and will be ditching the marvelous splendor that is the 4.2-liter V8 for a twin-turbo V6. Do not let the dismissing of two cylinders disappoint you, as this new motor is reported to be packing at least 480hp!
Now, more will come as official new reports are released; however I think it is pretty safe to say that the RS4 is coming back. In case you’re wondering why I am so enthusiastic about this Audi, allow me to explain. The B7 RS4, the last RS4 that was offered for sale in America, is my favorite daily-driver car, ever. It has room for 4, and all of their stuff. It has Quattro all-wheel drive, which is a must for Chicago winters. And most importantly dat V8, which is on my list of all time great engines.
I love the RS4 so much that I still look for one, to buy to this day. If in fact the RS4 does come to the US, I can guarantee you that I will find a way to get one.
