The first weekend in July provided me the opportunity to attend my first car meets of this summer. Between studying abroad and working, I haven’t been able to see as many shows as I normally would, but I’m determined to attend more throughout the summer. The first event of the weekend, held on Saturday morning, was the monthly Supercar Saturdays meet. This gathering, as the name suggests, showcased a variety of different supercars and sports cars. Row after row of the parking lot at the Promenade Bolingbrook was filled with cars on display. It was a good way to start the weekend, as you will be able to see in the gallery below. Just click on the picture to scroll through what the show had to offer.
The second event of the weekend took place on the following morning. On Sunday, July’s Rise and Drive event took place, bringing a variety of significant cars together at Chicago’s Collectors’ Car Garage. Cars on display ranged from a Lamborghini LM002 to a Lexus LFA Nurburgring Edition, with a variety of other special cars thrown into the mix. The latter of this weekend’s two car meets was undoubtedly the highlight, as you will see from the photos. Even though parts of the garage were roped off, limiting opportunities for pictures, the cars themselves made up for that. So, enjoy the pictures, and make sure to keep an eye out for next month’s post!
